As a chiropractor, I base my practice around honesty, transparency, and the goal of working together to find the best solutions for you. To me, chiropractic care is a chance for us to learn together. What drew me to the profession in the first place was the opportunity for chiropractors to connect with their patients and look at more than just the numbers.
I want to be considered your friendly neighborhood chiropractor. Having experience working with infants all the way up to the occasional octogenarian, I want to be there for you and your family throughout every season of life. Additionally, I am certified in Webster’s Technique, a non-invasive, gentle, and safe way to address pelvic pain and alignment during pregnancy.
I am an experienced diversified practitioner in manual adjustments, mobilization, and instrumented based manipulations. Depending on your treatment plan, we may also explore therapies such as myofascial cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue, or therapeutic taping.
When I’m not in the office, you can find me playing volleyball or hiking around BC’s beautiful outdoors, or exploring different neighborhood cafes with my dog, Benji.

TREATMENTS AND TECHNIQUES
Chiropractic Manipulative Therapies
Also referred to as "adjustments", joint therapy is perhaps the most commonly associated therapy with chiropractic care. Joint manipulation and mobilization can be thought of on a spectrum. We start with gently mobilizing joints and slowly increase depth to help restore the natural motion to joints which can get stiff and sore from activities in our daily lives.

As we increase the depth of our mobilizations, with your comfort level, we can increase the mobilization to a controlled, low amplitude, and gentle adjustment into the joint to which sometimes can create an audible "click".

All of this happens to your comfort level. Other ways we can restore motion is with a tension adjustable tool called an Activator.
Soft Tissue Therapy
Muscles and other soft tissues encase the joint. By using different therapies to help relax tense areas and bring awareness to under-active muscles, we can help provide both pain relief as well as break compensatory patterns to help bring balance to your musculoskeletal system.

Therapies may include manual, hands-on muscle work, heat, percussion therapy, or instrument assisted soft tissue therapies. The approach and techniques used depend on your individual treatment plan and will be discussed with you before proceeding.
Home Stretches and Exercises
Most injuries we can often categorize into acute or chronic. Acute injuries usually involve some specific event like a trip or a fall while chronic injuries have a longer, possible more gradual onset such as postural strains or certain types of headaches.

Chiropractic care can often have you feeling better in a short amount of time, but changing habits or finding strategies to protect sensitive trigger areas can keep you healthy and active for longer.

This usually means at the end of your appointment, you will be provided some manageable stretches, exercises, activity modifications, or product suggestions that may help you in between visits to the clinic!
